From the Director

The spring semester is unfolding and undoubtedly you are facing many of the joys and challenges of teaching.  Please know the Center for Teaching is here to celebrate the former and support you through the latter. Our staff are happy to offer one-on-one, confidential instructional consultations to help you think through course design and teaching choices. Our Brightspace and Instructional Technology Support (BITS) team is reachable seven days a week for technical and pedagogical help using our course management system and other educational technology.

If you are helping to administer a department, program, or school, the CFT can help you design and implement strategies to enhance instructional, curricular, or professional development throughout your unit. We also have a well-regarded collection of on-demand resources for the Vanderbilt teaching community available in the form of teaching guides and our course development resource site. Lastly, we will have a series of workshops and learning communities meeting throughout the spring semester for which we hope you will register. You will find them listed below or in future month’s newsletters. We have an amazing staff at the CFT who can meet any need you have, so please do not hesitate to reach out to us.–Joe Bandy, Interim Director of the CFT
