Description
Using photo modeling, digital reconstruction technology, and research of comparanda, I created a state model of the current condition of the West frieze’s Block XI. I then researched and reconstructed the lost or damaged parts as well as the polychromy.
What knowledge or skills did you learn?
I learned how to use several different computer software programs, like Agisoft Photoscan, Zbrush, Cloud Compare, etc. Throughout the project, I also learned how to conduct more in-depth and accurate research.
What made this project interesting for you?
I aspire to be a fine art restorer and/or conservator, so this class definitely taught me how to go through that process of restoring something to its original state in antiquity.
