New Issue of the International Journal for the Scholarship of Teaching & Learning
The latest issue of the International Journal for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning is now available. The IJ-SoTL is a free, online, peer-reviewed journal in which faculty members from a variety of disciplines share their research into student learning and teaching practices. Although some contributors are education researchers, many are faculty members from outside schools of education investigating their own students’ learning.
Articles in this latest issue include:
- A study of student attitudes and approaches to online (versus pencil-and-paper) homework in an economics statistics course
- An investigation of factors that motivate professional master’s students to engage in learning opportunities
- Qualitative research on the impact of service-learning experiences in an interdisciplinary freshman course
The issue also features an article on the pedagogical practices of biomedical engineering faculty authored by Monica Cox (a recent PhD graduate in Leadership, Policy, & Organizations at Peabody College) and Alene Harris (research assistant professor of education at Peabody).
